Here you will find mini anchors designed for anchoring one or multiple decoys. They are made of lead. The larger anchor weighs 140 grams, while the smaller weighs 70 grams and is well suited for anchoring one or a couple of birds. The larger anchor can hold a group of five to ten decoys, depending on wind conditions. We usually anchor five decoys on each line and use a total of 15–20 decoys in a spread arranged as three U-shapes with the openings facing into the wind and an anchor at each end. A setup like this is almost irresistible to other cormorants.
Keep in mind that cormorants looking to land among a spread of decoys will usually choose to land just outside the outermost bird. Therefore, the outermost decoy should not be placed more than 25 meters from the shooting position.
